„A warm welcome`to our exchange students from the USA!“


The IMS community welcomes the exchange students Charlie Dunham jr. and Maya Mitchell from the University of South Alabama.

Maya (20) and Charlie (22) are studying electrical engineering and inspire the IMS with their knowledge and engagement.

Due to the Cooperative Education and Intership Program of the University of South Alabama the senior students to work at IMS from 30th January to 25th April. For this time we integrate them into our team and they gather first experiences in NodeJS und Javascript. They get insights into the latest programming techniques and realize server/client applications on the web.

Our guests describe the ´IMS´ as “ordered“ and Maya is impressed by the help and kindness from the colleagues.

The University of South Alabama was created in 1963 and has got more than 1600 students. They call themselves ´Jags`, because of the jaguar statue in front of the Mitchell centre in South Alabama. The university´s slogan „ we are south“ emphasises their proud of their location.
