IMS Messsysteme GmbH receives the award ÖKOPROFIT® for its environmental performance

“Acting sustainably together – learning from each other – motivating each other – initiating measures: This is what the cooperation project ÖKOPROFIT® stands for”.

On 03.12.2019, IMS Messsysteme GmbH was officially honoured within the 5th season of ÖKOPROFIT® for its commitment to reduce operating costs and resource consumption equally and thus to make an active contribution to applied environmental and climate protection.

Of all companies of the district participating in ECOPROFIT®, IMS is the company with the highest investment sum in climate protection. During the duration of the project 152.563 kWh energy and 369 t CO2 could be saved, which corresponds to a sum of 26.000 € per year.

The award ceremony took place in the Kulturvilla Mettmann. Together with 8 other participating companies of the district, IMS, represented by the colleagues Jörg Börchers and Marcel Döbbeler, was also personally presented with the official certificate by Mr. Michael Hermanns (Head of Department at the Ministry for Environment, Agriculture, Nature and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia) and the District Administrator of the Mettmann District, Mr. Thomas Hendele.

ÖKOPROFIT®, as a nationwide climate protection project of more than 100 participating municipalities, is not only promoted by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, but is also supported by well-known regional cooperation partners such as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Chamber of Crafts, District Association of Craftsmen, DEHOGA, Trade Association and Efficiency Agency NRW.

This is another successful cooperation project, which clearly shows the great importance that climate protection has and should have, especially with regard to the production and service processes of companies, but also the economic potential that active climate protection can have. A responsibility and opportunity that IMS Messsysteme GmbH is happy to take on and use!
