The topometric strip flatness measuring system |
|
Correct processing of the primary measuring data from the TopPlan camera produces mathematical
expressions representing the strip flatness. The basis of measurement is formed by the projected-fringe technique.
A projector projects an array of light/dark stripes onto the surface of the measuring material (strip or plate)
covering the full width of the measuring material. A CCD matrixcamera detects the illuminated area continually.
Applications |
- Plate Mill - Hot Strip Mill (Finishing Mill and/or Coiler) - Cold Strip Mill (Pickling Line, Zinc Coating, Tin Coating, Cutting Line etc.) - Offline measuring for the quality assurance outside production plant |
Main performance features
- High measuring resolution over a large measuring range
- Measurement of stationary and moving strip and plate
- Measurement at ambient and mill temperatures
- Measurement of the length distribution across the strip width
- Customer specific displays
- Interface for the transfer of actual flatness data for the control (example)
- Flexible adaptation to mill conditions
- Low maintenance costs
- Low follow-up costs
