Use and technique

Modern finishing and inspection lines are run at high speed with tight tolerances.

The essential advantage of our measuring systems in comparison with conventional methods lies in their fast, continuous, non-contact, real-time acquisition of high-precision measured values.

In parallel with the continuous development of technological processes and plant automation, quality demands also increase steadily.


Thickness measurement
Cold strip

For example,

- Mechanical properties, such as formability and yield strength
- Dimensional consistency over the width and the full length of the strip
- Strip flatness and surface quality

are decisive factors in making and finishing high quality goods both in the semis plant and in the plant producing
finished products.

Particularly in the steel, aluminium and other non-ferrous metal industries, flat hot and cold rolled strip belongs
to the class of « intelligent products », whose quality plays a role of ever-increasing importance.

We have accepted this challenge from industry, and are contributing to an effective increase in productivity with
our high precision non-contact measuring systems. In selecting components for these systems, we do not consider
only technical and economic aspects; all components must also be environmentally friendly.
